1. Scope and provider

This policy applies to Zulu Time: Pilot UTC Clock on iPhone and iPad, its Apple Watch app, widgets and complications. The app is offered by Yiğit Can Akıncı.

It describes the current production behavior of the app. Apple services and any service you choose to use outside the app operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

2. Data the developer does not collect

Zulu Time does not provide a developer-operated account or backend and does not transmit personal data to the developer during normal app use. The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDK.

• No name, email address, phone number, contact list or profile is requested in the app.
• No location coordinates, saved world clocks, alarm details or visual preferences are sent to a developer server.
• No advertising identifier is used and no App Tracking Transparency request is made.

3. Information stored on your devices

Zulu Time stores the information needed to remember your choices in Apple-managed app and app-group storage. This can include clock and date formats, theme, selected time-zone source, time-zone identifier, resolved city and country, saved world clocks, onboarding state, widget configuration and a short-lived Premium entitlement snapshot.

Alarms are stored locally with the title you enter, the selected Zulu/UTC or local date and time, repeat setting, enabled state, sound choice and, for local alarms, the applicable time-zone identifier. Alarms use local system notifications; Zulu Time does not operate a push-notification server.

When Apple Watch synchronization is available, the selected time zone, city, country, theme, verified entitlement snapshot and alarm list can be exchanged with the paired Watch through Apple WatchConnectivity. Location coordinates and your world-clock list are not sent to the Watch.

You can edit or remove alarms and saved clocks in the app. Device backups, app-group storage and removal behavior are managed by the operating system; this policy does not promise a specific deletion time after uninstalling the app.

4. Optional location and compass

Location permission is optional. If you select automatic local time, Zulu Time asks for When In Use permission and may make brief one-shot location requests as needed to refresh the result, configured for approximately three-kilometer accuracy. Apple may return a more precise reading depending on device settings. Each reading is used transiently with Apple geocoding to determine a time-zone identifier, city and country.

Only the resulting time zone, city and country are saved. The coordinate object is not written to app storage, sent to the paired Watch or sent to a developer server. If permission is denied or location is unavailable, the app can use the device time zone, and you can choose any supported location manually.

Supported aviation themes may use compass heading while the theme is visible. Heading values are processed on-device for the live display, are not geographic coordinates and are not retained as a movement history.

5. Subscriptions and Apple StoreKit

Zulu Time uses Apple StoreKit to load the localized subscription product, determine introductory-offer eligibility, request a purchase, verify the current entitlement and restore purchases when you choose Restore purchases. Apple processes Apple Account, payment and transaction information under Apple’s policies; Zulu Time does not receive your payment-card details.

The app reads Apple-verified entitlement status and may store a local active/inactive snapshot and validity time so widgets and the paired Watch can reflect access. It does not store a payment-card number, Apple Account password or its own copy of an order history.

Subscription management, cancellation, billing, refunds and trial eligibility are controlled by Apple. The price and terms shown by Apple at confirmation are the applicable terms for that Apple Account and storefront.

6. Apple and operating-system services

Requested features rely on Apple frameworks such as Core Location and CLGeocoder for optional time-zone resolution, StoreKit for purchases, UserNotifications for local alarms, WidgetKit for widgets and WatchConnectivity for paired-device synchronization. These services may communicate with Apple as part of normal operating-system behavior.

Apple may also process App Store, device, diagnostic or backup information according to your Apple settings and Apple’s policies. That platform processing is separate from a Zulu Time developer backend. Zulu Time does not add third-party analytics or advertising services to these flows.

7. Children

Zulu Time is a general time utility and is not directed to children. Because the app has no account and does not send personal data to the developer during normal use, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian with a concern may contact us using the address below.

8. Support email and contact

If you choose to email support, the developer receives the email address, message and attachments you provide. That correspondence is used to understand and respond to the request, not for advertising or cross-app tracking. Email delivery, mailbox storage and provider-managed backups are governed by the relevant email services; you may ask us to delete a support conversation, subject to applicable obligations and provider behavior.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when app features or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL with its latest update date. Material changes will be reflected before the related behavior is introduced where reasonably required.
